I am very grateful to K & D Befriending for making P’s life a happier and more sociable one. Your organisation is a real lifeline and lights up so many lonely people’s lives - thank you for all you and your befrienders do" Health Care referrer

If you are housebound, if your circumstances have recently changed through bereavement or ill-health, or if you feel lonely or isolated, regular visits from a volunteer befriender may help you.

Enquiries/referrals to Kincardine & Deeside Befriending can be made by a variety of sources including Health and Social Care professionals, other Third Sector organisations, family members or by you, the older person who might like to be visited by a volunteer befriender.

Get in touch and, only with the consent of the older person, one of our Coordinators will visit to discuss befriending and get to know about your particular needs. If you wish to be introduced to a befriender, this will be done as soon as we are able. Our volunteer befrienders are all interviewed and screened through the Disclosure PVG Scheme and we also take up references. Your volunteer will visit you on a regular basis to suit your needs and the Coordinator will also keep in regular contact to make sure everything is running smoothly.
