Awards and Accreditation
Kincardine and Deeside Befriending always aims to demonstrate best practice and seeks accreditation to evidence this. For several years we had Approved Provider Status from the National Council of Voluntary Organisations and in March 2020 moved to attain a quality award specific to befriending from Befriending Network UK. We were proud to receive the Quality in Befriending Award, a national quality assurance award to recognise we have evidenced best practice across several areas of our service. These areas are:

- The Befriender
- The Befriendee
- The Match itself
We believe in working in partnership with colleagues across the third sector at local levels as well as Health and Social Care professionals specific to our beneficiaries. We have affiliation with several National Organisations including Befriending Networks UK, Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations and Age UK.
